The classic scooter has been coined to differentiate the older, more original scooter designs from those developed later on in the mid-80' and 90'. One of the pioneers in the classic scooter category is Piaggio.  They have produced Vespa scooters since 1946 and their designs have been and continue to be copied by other manufacturers.
